»Clara + Jo« is a restaurant on the German island Rügen. Juni Studio led the redesign and rebranding of the restaurant and created a fresh interior design and storytelling concept.
They asked me to create scratchboard style illustrations, which designer Una Helbig used to create the visual identity, stationery and restaurant menu, as well as for the packaging design of the restaurant’s artisanally produced series of products.

Food and Drinks Menu
My illustrations show produce and ingredients like seabuckthorn, rhubarb, blackberries, plaice and honeycomb, as well as musical instruments — referencing namesakes Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms.
The illustrations are created in a novel digital scratchboard style, that references historic etchings while introducing a clean, modern edge.
