»ETV Handball« is Eimsbüttel’s very own handball club. In 2022 they updated their jerseys and approached me with a unique challenge: They wanted to highlight the identity of their borough, which most people only think of as a part of Hamburg.

Sports Jersey with Illustrated Pattern
The players came up with a list of local landmarks — ranging from renowned attractions to lesser-known hidden gems — that I illustrated to create a seamless pattern, which was used as an all-over print for the new jerseys.
The result is a representation of the Eimsbüttel community’s local identity, woven into their sports uniforms.
