After a lovely weekend in Seville, we took the bus on Sunday afternoon and drove 3 hours to the city of Granada, where we would be staying for the next few weeks. We rented a nice apartment here so that we could work from home in Granada during the day and explore the city in the evening after work.
When we arrived in Granada, the two Airbnb hosts welcomed us personally: Dionisio and Mercedes – a super lovely couple from Granada who occasionally rent out their son’s apartment as he is currently working abroad. Since their English wasn’t the best, they were very happy when they realized I spoke Spanish. Christoph and I got along so well with them that the short planned handover of the keys spontaneously turned into a 3-hour-long city tour, during which Dionisio and Mercedes led us through Granada, showing us the most beautiful places and the best restaurants and we ended up drinking and eating tapas together in a few different bars. This evening was unexpectedly one of the best evenings of our entire trip because Dionisio and Mercedes are such lovely and funny people! Eventually we had to say goodbye to go home because it was already late Sunday night and we had to work the next day, but we really enjoyed this evening with them.
The apartment itself was one of the most beautiful Airbnbs we ever stayed in as it was very well designed and decorated. We loved staying here and after a few weeks in Granada – when we finally had to leave to move to the next city – it was so difficult for us to leave this amazing apartment behind. If you’re looking for a small but beautiful Airbnb in the city of Granada, you should definitely book Dio and Merce’s Airbnb!
