Mó Bistro

I had discovered the “Mó Bistro” by chance on Instagram weeks before we arrived in Lima and I was immediately impressed by the beautiful interior design of the bistro I saw on Instagram. Because the food looked especially good in the photos, I definitely wanted to go there with Christoph one day.

A suitable occasion arose a few days after our arrival in Peru. Christoph’s birthday which is in mid-January! I had secretly reserved a table at Mó Bistro for his birthday. When the day came, I surprised him with a birthday lunch date at Mó Bistro and it was just as amazing and special as I had hoped! The bistro is located in a two-story house made from concrete, which, combined with warm wooden furniture and lots of green plants looked very modern and cozy. The service staff also was really attentive and polite and it was clear that we were not in just any café, but that the Mó Bistro was a well-thought-out concept with well-trained staff.

Compared to other cafés and restaurants in Lima, the Mo Bistro is a bit expensive – but considering the quality of the dishes and drinks the prices were totally reasonable. We ordered a starter, main courses, various drinks (and after lunch a dessert to take away). Everything was beautifully plated, well seasoned and really special! Unfortunately, we visited Mó bistro less often than we initially had hoped, as the journey between our apartment and the café was at least 30 minutes by taxi. But if you are in Lima and looking for a really special place to eat: Mo Bistro is the perfect place for an excellent breakfast or lunch.
